Asian American Identity Through Spoken Word
Eileen Huang

From forgetting a native language to witnessing cultural appropriation, the nuances of Asian American identity could be complex and difficult to navigate. In this workshop, we'll use spoken word poetry to understand and explore our cultural, political, and personal identities and their many intersections. We'll watch poems from Asian-American poets -- ranging from Franny Choi to Kevin Yang -- and learn how to use our own voices to share our own stories and poetry.
